Like on other cycladic islands also here on Kythnos island the famous Asyrtiko grapes are cultivated. Asyrtiko wine grapes are indigenous to the island of Santorini but also grow on arid volcanic-ash-rich soils of other Aegean Islands.
One of the winemakers produces award-winning white and also red wines. Visit the vineyards and taste the wine in his traditional tavern after a one-hour downhill walk with panoramic views of the island and the Agean Sea.
