The island is known for its special Feta cheese. A majority of the land is still used for agriculture, to grow sheeps and goats, even cattle and pigs. Like on many other Greek islands the number of goats is much higher than the number of inhabitants.
Visit a local farm, a cheese factory, and try fresh local cheese products. Whoever loves Feta will love this special cheese. It goes very well with Greek salad and food baked in a casserole.
Spend a wonderful day with us and enjoy the local food of the island.
